You are misinformed, going off of old knowledge. Modern plasmas are much more suited for games than older models. CNET.com, a site of professions tech reviewers much more educated than you or I, have a list of the best gaming TVs on the market, plasmas rank at the top of this list due to detail in motion, refresh rates, low input lag, and contrast.
I did an extraordinary amount of research on my purchase before hand, and played hundreds of hours of Battlefield 4 with no problems, strictly due to the simple addition of an opacity slider.
This is absolutely the developers problem, as millions of people own plasmas for their own reasons, and wish to play Destiny. Should they all not play before they've owned a plasma for years? Or live with their parents who only have a plasma? No, the dev should always adjust to the users needs, since after all we are the only reason they have jobs as game devs, us the consumers.
Bungie needs to ad this opacity slider.
