Let's talk about the VoG loot table...

I've been doing the raid for a while now and I think it's time for me to express my feelings about the loot table in the Vault of Glass. As many of you have experienced, a lot of the rewards/drops don't really reflect the purpose of the raid. The raid was put in place so us Guardians could unlock special gear and have a very fun and challenging gaming experience. However, the total experience of the raid is often deflated because of (often) boring and forgettable drops. I myself am "lucky" enough to have a Lv30 character. I was blessed on my very first raid to receive the raid chest and gauntlets and the boots on my third attempt. I do also have a Lv28 Titan and Lv28 Warlock, both of which have completed the raid with no such luck. This is where the salt begins.. Last week, for my hard raid run, I got the Fatebringer. Granted I was very, very excited about this but the joy of the drop was taken away during Atheon. For my Atheon drop I recieved the Aspect of Glass (which I already have), three energies and three shards? After the drop, I was infuriated. It quickly occurred to me that someone at Bungie honestly thought that defeating the games hardest challenge should be rewarded with a useless, cosmetic ship and some ascendant materials for an already maxed out character. Last night, I attempted the normal raid with my Lv28 Titan... Again I only recieved ascendant materials and for my Atheon drop.... Chatterwhite and more shards. Yes I recieved the shader that I have already recieved 5 times. Though I was disappointed with my hard raid drop, this one actually upset me more. Chatterwhite, a shader, should not be part of the loot table for every raid. Chatterwhite is in the game to flaunt to other that you have completed the raid. Easy fix.... Why not just have Chatterwhite drop only on the first time you complete the raid? Is there really any need to have multiple Chatterwhites? All I'm asking is that the team at Bungie takes a deep, hard look at the raid drops. Do you guys honestly feel that these items are compensation for such an accomplishment? TL;DR The loot tables are all wrong. Make the raid, the highest endgame achievement, more rewarding. EDIT 11/18 Just wanted to share with you all that I cleared the hard raid on all three of my characters last week. I recieved only shards and the sparrow with two and my titan recieved all shards, sparrow and the raid boots.

 • The raid rewards(shards and energy only drops) wouldn't bother me as much if the raid wasn't so laggy, buggy, and generally aggravating. The raid itself and its challenges are not all that difficult. It's the bugs, the unnecessary kill volumes, and general vagueness that make it that way. I wouldn't mind having a week where I didn't get anything but shards and maybe a gun I already have if it wasn't so aggravating. You have a fireteam of six. If everyone isn't spot on in Hard mode, you're looking at some serious frustration and more wipes than a diaper bag. Then you have people that didn't pull their weight and they get better drops than the rest of the group pretty often. Another frustrating thing is that when something does drop, it's usually a piece of armor you already have. There is no system in place to stop you from getting ten straight zealot gauntlets. And that's kind of absurd. If this game was an actual MMO with the typical content of an MMO, then fine, leave the raid loot tables as they are. But this game is a ghetto MMO that has a good FPS element to it.
