Best method to farming Glimmer?
The IB hit just as I spent my capped currency on Heavy synths, as such I'm currently sitting on 6K. While I look forward to my weekly hard Gatekeeper fight for some awesome Glimmer farm, I know at the end of the fight I'll only be able to buy one item!
I need to push my rep gains but afterwards I'm concerned for how much time I'll have left until the weapons especially are no longer available.

I just use the glimmer items when I'm out doing stuff

4 RepliesA very boring but quick way to earn glimmer is to put a black wax idol on and go to earth patrol and go downstairs where the hive majors respawn and kill all 3 rinse and repeat like 30-40 times. You generally get just about 300-400 glimmer each time. I put together 5,000 glimmer in about an hour running it quickly.

1 ReplyThe mission with the shrine on the moon, towards the end of the mission there is a long hall way with 8 hallowed accolyites take them out with the hive glimmer buff then jump off the side, repeat. it's a quick way but boring as hell.

the second fastest is the very first moon mission when you open that big door and all those guys run out. dont kill the knight but there are about 50 small guys and 5 majors. dont kill the knight let him kill you and do it again. but in the vault you will get about three times the amount for the same amount of time

Shattered coast there are 5 or 6 majors in quick succession as you do the circuit, plus a public event. The three hive majors near the spawn point on cosmodrome. Archers line circuit. Ember caves circuit. Warbase circuit. etc

the best? gatekeeper area in the vault. there are about 15 majors in there in the beggining giving about 40 glimmer per with a blue polifage then if you servive them (very doable go into venus and kill those goblins and left yourself die and repeat. level 26 will work just as good as 30. plus they drop axiom beads left and right. thats the fastest of course you have to get the checkpoint but yeah

1 ReplyEdited by Cormac: 11/18/2014 9:03:10 PMLook for a Gatekeeper checkpoint on Hard Raid. Join game, wipe, quit, load up checkpoint, stick a blue polyphage on and wreck everybody with an Icebreaker. When the enemies dry up you wipe and do it all again. Not even sure you need it on hard!
