Remembrance day: Remember the fallen troops
On November the 11th, 1918, a peace treaty was signed for the end of the first world war. At was the biggest conflict in human history, until the Second World War happened 21 years later. Whilst the main remembrance celebrations are on the nearest Sunday (last Sunday), today is still a day for celebrations, remembrance and mourning of the Millions of lives on all fronts and all sides of all wars. Now, here is the infamous poem, In Flanders Fields, written in May 1915, by John MCCrae.

Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago

And I think in HOLAND they have a flowers day or something, details are fuzzy on when it happens, I think it happens on the day the Troops took VIMMY ridge or remembrance day. I picked this up on a connect flight from England so I thought that was pretty cool.

Friggin' trenches, chemicals, and death everywhere. You should search up "That Ragged Old Flag" by Johnny Cash on YouTube. It makes me tear up every time I see it.

WW1 was a horrible war, think ww2 gets recognized a bit more because it was alot more mechanical, the extermination camps, and alot of cool things were invented in that period, they forget WW1 was just horrific, chemical warfare was BANNED after it after seeing how devistating it could be, troops had to litteraly suicide themselves at the enemy, it was a guaranteed thing most of you will die trying to run through minefields cover by heavy machine guns, not to mention bayonettes, axes, clubs and cavalry charges were still used, and the conditions the troops had to fight it were appauling, no top notch medical relief or bunkers or even food supply, troops had to sleep in freezing cold wet trenches, news paper was used to warm you up, frostbite was a common thing, desies was a VERY common thing, and food (what food) lice were tasty, anything else was just something to null the hunger pain, sawdust biscuits anyone? Lest we forget that war can be a terrible TERRIBLE thing

When i read this poem a tear came to my eye because everybody has a relative who would have thought in the war and if you are like me who believes in reincarnation that might have been you. Never forget always remember
