It plays more like Halo than 4 did, the strategies enforced strengthen the Halo ethos and most of the new features are purely to modernise the franchise and future-proof it. Honestly, if this forum had half as much sense as us true Floodians you'd have seen all this by now

I'm confused that not one person has mentioned we are playing with spartans. With the most upgraded futuristic Armor than any other game. I'm pretty sure ground pound and sliding, etc should have been implemented long ago. So why the complaining about it. To me it is getting closer to what any developer would envision and now they are actually able to do it. Not looking to argue just curious on what you guys are thinking.

I think it looks pretty good, don't really have a beef with the enhanced mobility or the "ADS". Can't really judge that ground pound yet, I don't want a majority of my deaths to be from some dude that ground pounds constantly.

6 RepliesThe only 2 things I'm really not a fan of are ground pound and probably sliding. Sliding is actually the one thing I saw in the cgi trailer a while back that I thought wouldn't be in the game.

Here are my shitty thoughts and impressions so far: The pros - All the abilities seem to work well together - I especially like the ground pound thing (not too sure why some people are bitching about it). - The "ads" - or rather I should say quasi-ads as it seems more like an aesthetic change to zoom feature - looks alright I suppose. Definitely not as bad as people are making it out to be. - Ledge climbing. You can't even say this is copied from CoD as most shooters have had the shit since forever and it's about damn time Halo had it too. The cons - Jeff Steitzer has somehow managed to sound even more annoying and stupid than he did in Halol 4 - Still announces every damn thing and to top it off, there seem to be [i]more[/i] medals... Now he'll never shut up... - The "Spartans" talk too -blam!-ing much. If I wasn't looking at my screen and didn't hear Jeff yelling every two seconds, I would have thought I was hearing CoD gameplay with all that stupid chatter. - Dat energy sword doe... Like, the -blam!-? - Bringing back that shitty mlg tryhard map That's all. Overall I have no real opinion on it one way or the other. After Halol 4, I don't really care too much... -

Pistol and AR's scope looks great, few things I'm not keen on... BR looks rubbish.. Don't like the Spartans talking at all.. Sprint is okay, but change the movement action of it, looks way to much like blackops. Grr....

In multiplayer you run faster with it, and it has increased lunge range if you zoom. There will most likely be the regular energy swords as well.
