Don't dismantle your Stranger Rifle.
With Bungie you never know if it's actually a key to a Easter egg.
The Stranger hands it to you. This could be Bungie's way of saying this is important for other things.

I'm kinda sentimental like that :3, I still have the first assault rifle too just because it looks like normal m4 lol, I could pass the strangers rifle to my next warlock though, he's 10 now my hunters just -----this close to 27
