No but it generates a shit ton of revenue which creates a lot of jobs and leads to more consumption, which improves the economy. Think before you try and refute something.

Thats a broad statement because theres many different outlets on producing economical revenue. Cigarettes, cars, food, clothes, movies, stocks, etc. Almost anything and everything can turn into a cash cow. Job loss is the only real negative factor.

Well obviously anything sold in a market generates economic revenue... The video game industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. You must not have an economic background; there would be a lot more negative effects than job loss.
