I play a female character for a few different reasons. Before I get into them, let me specify that I normally run a male based off a popular RP character I have as my main, with a near 1:1 ratio for Male to Female characters. Destiny is the first game I have a female character for my main, and that's for the few reasons I mentioned earlier but didn't specify. 1. I played a male in the Beta, and when the full game came out, I thought to myself "Well, I already made a male Hunter. -blam!- it, let's just make a female Awoken this time." 2. I draw creative inspiration for writing from characters I create, and females tend to work better because it's outside of what I normally experience in my life, being a guy and all. 3. The female models are just more attractive. (Give or take the customization choices for hair and whatnot. The female Awoken mohawk just doesn't look good to me.)
