So tired of the scrubs who rush through a strike just for the rep or marks. Makes the game much less enjoyable for the players who actually like to kill shit. Many of these same people are the ones who don't have the skill to actually beat the bosses legitly and have to hide in a hole so the adds (which you can 1-shot) dont -blam!- their scrub asses up. It's just so -blam!-ing aggravating.... I wish bungie would put boxes and random spawns all over the walls and hiding areas so that these people would die.... An invisible wall that opens when a certain number of enemies are killed would be great too
either that or make it to where reports actually do shit
Edited by SIP Crucio: 11/4/2014 3:09:11 PM90% of the strikes I have run have been of this nature. Some areas are just a waste of time and people know this. When you run Sepiks do you kill everything in the Rocketyard? NO. Why? Because that is a patrol area, enemies are at fixed levels and offer no rewards. When you have three characters trying to get lvl 30 there is no time to fight the small fry.

Its always been like this in every game. The content is even more repetitive in Destiny so people will do this more and more. Its what happens when the game becomes a chore and not fun.
-
Your practically guaranteed better loot when you finish the strike then if you kill all the adds, you get to kill plenty of things along the way, don't see why this is an issue.
-
After doing the same strike for the 100th time, I just want to get my shit and get out. Don't want to kill every enemy if I do not need to.
-
I did this for 25 strikes. Ill never do it again but i had to for bad juju
-
Happen twice today to me. I understand the lower level guys. But the guys for the actual strike is just dumb.
-
Hey man make some friends stop bitching
-
I stay behind and shoot because now enemies give you more blue engrams than the cave did and we are actually doing something productive instead shooting at cave
-
Edited by JuciyFruit99: 11/4/2014 9:31:01 PMI have to complete 25 strikes for this bounty... There is no way I'm going to sit there for 20 minutes to make sure I kill everything.
^Totally something a scrub would say
-
Meh, just ignore em and kill stuff. I like to kill EVERYTHING idk why, I just do. Funny how many of the rushers rush ahead, and then die, always gives me a chuckle.
-
If you want to actually enjoy strike then save one or two pieces of blue gear and lower your level to 24-26 before queueing. At those ranges people don't rush through as much because they can't take the damage.
-
Yup, and I am probably at the boss and killed it before your slow ass even gets there.
-
IMO the only reason to play a strike is to get marks. The faster I can do this, the better. If I'm the only one jetting to the location, though, I'll stop and provide cover fire until the group shows up.
-
Strategy. Try it sometime.
-
At least an idle kicker.
-
Reports will never do much for rushing teh strike is not against the rules at all. You want slower game play, go play patrol or do the missions over again on higher levels.
-
If you want to "kill shit" there is such thing as a PATROL. Dumbass
-
I'll run through trash mobs get to the boss and kill him, and the adds. But I must be a scrub since I don't kill everything.
-
I agree that it's unfortunate, but this is fairly common in MMOs and the like. People find strategies on how to mow through the event faster to get the rewards sooner. I haven't experienced it quite as much on here as I ever did in SWTOR, but I do tend to play with friends on here.

That exotic tho

Edited by Bok: 11/4/2014 8:05:36 PMIf you want to shoot stuff to your heart's content, go into patrol. Otherwise no one wants to spend more than 15 minutes on a Strike. Spending most of your time killing low level Dregs is not going to do anything other than aggravate people who just want to finish and collect their reward (It's already slow enough to collect 25 XP and 6 marks, why make it more painful?). Are you the same type of player who has to do the Raid the proper way and frowns down on players who prefers speed runs?
-
I'm getting sick of these people who don't vote. Yall need to vote if you can. Just sayin. Kamehameha!
-
Keep up to speed you whiny bitch Hunter and blame bungie.
-
If they provided better cover for the strikes people wouldn't resort to glitches.
-
I used to get annoyed, then I got over it.
-
They should give the option to solo strikes other than weekly
