All I can say (as a PS4 user) is that I think it's unfair, and this is taking a number of steps too far. In the core game, the one exclusive strike (Dust Palace) represented a relatively small amount of content in the total game, so making it PS only wasn't that big a deal. For this DLC, which has 3 story missions (will finish all 3 in about 30 minutes and never touch them again other than Daily Heroics), 1 or 2 strikes depending on your platform, and 1 raid, that exclusive strike is a major piece of content. Imagine if 3 or 4 of the original game's strikes were PS exclusive. Making it exclusive and asking Xbox users to pay the same price is unfair - and worse than that, whatever effect it might have on short term profits for Bungie/Activision, you can be sure in the longer term it is going to generate a lot of negative sentiment towards both companies and this game - at a time where there is already a great deal of negative sentiment in all corners of the internet for a multitude of other reasons, it's a large risk, and one with virtually no pay-off to Bungie at all, other than whatever amount of money Sony paid to Activision for the content. Especially considering the next CoD (arguably the most hyped in years) is going to be out very soon. I really want this game (and franchise) to survive, and to improve. Really hope it doesn't become the next Halo 4.

  • http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/75936295 This is fine: Playstation user pays for DLC - Gets DLC time passes... Xbox user pays for DLC - Gets DLC Not this shit...: Playstation and Xbox user pays for DLC - Only Playstation user gets DLC time passes... Now Xbox user gets his DLC Honestly even the latter example would be fine, if the amount of time we'd have to wait would be closer to a month (like what happened with CoD stuff last gen) instead of a -blam!-ing year. I used to respect you Bungie, but it appears Activision has killed the old Bungie. Next time, be forthcoming with exact details of how exclusive stuff will pan out, so that people may make a better informed decision. Assuming these people give you a next time. This game certainly won't be lasting the 10 years you'd like it to, which is sad because I really wanted you to succeed again.

This guys gets it. 5 strikes vs 6 strikes 10 crucible maps vs 11 19 exotic weapons vs 21 These are exclusivity differences most people can live with even if they irk slightly. 1 strike vs 2 strikes is a massive difference in a DLC "expansion" that looks utterly bereft of content as it is. Ignoring the story missions - which nobody really does more than they have to - we get 1 strike and 1 raid for PvE. 2 strikes and 1 raid is still a pathetic amount of content but it's a whopping 50% more. If PS4 gets more exclusive weapons and/or crucible maps in this DLC as well then it really starts to look like a pointless decision as a consumer to have supported Destiny on xbox platforms.
