I play PvP as both a Warlock and Hunter. So, I've used and had it used against me. I've been able to jump above Nova Bomb successfully on numerous occasions. I've never been able to jump above a FoH. Only reason for that would be FoH hits higher than Nova. Now, on the flip side, with certain skills Nova has a MUCH larger AoE.

I have been nova bombed out of the sky on numerous occasions and have also had numerous people leap away from my foh so both your points are I am afraid wrong.

Edited by AlmostUseful: 10/27/2014 12:07:01 AMMaybe they weren't above your FoH, and maybe you weren't that high up from the Nova Bomb. My point is, I've been above a Nova bomb and survived. I've never been above a FoH and survived. That doesn't make me wrong, doesn't make me right either. Let me just clarify for you since you seem to think (and maybe others) that what I'm saying I'm saying with 100% certainty. I'm just stating my experience with both supers and comparing them. Both have their pros and cons, and many similarities.

Edited by cojak121: 10/26/2014 11:42:47 PMIf nova bomb has a larger aoe with those skills would that mean it could reach higher up than the foh? Aoe is a sphere, if your's reaches further in the x plane it should expand equally as far in the y plane.

Not necessarily. Nova with its increased AoE does reach higher, but it feels like FoH doesn't have a roof. It's just a beam of -blam!- your life from ground to sky. That's just my experience. Nova with Shatter and annihilate can cover more ground but FoH can shut down a whole area from ground to sky.

If it is a beam of light to the sky, then the devs should change it. I'm more inclined to believe that the lag is tricking you

I have to agree. I have had Nova bombs not kill me, but I have triple jumped away from a Titan right before he started his animation and still been killed. And have tried to jump up to no avail.
