If you're playing Hard VoG, Hunters are great for going into the portal and gold gunning the 3 enemies in the middle of each side. Saves a lot of pointless deaths and has made the ending of hard mode much easier. Also, we went 4 hunters in Hard VoG and beat it, so any character will do.
