What gear are you using? UPDATE 11-25
Hey everyone just sitting back contemplating Exotic gear and it's true use. I've came to the conclusion that it's defense can't be matched but it lacks. So the object is to have 2 or 3 outfits for different situations headlining with one piece of exotic gear.

Arms: legendary - Iron Regalia gloves / SUNBREAKERS
Legs: legendary - Iron Regalia boots

Head - exotic- Helm off Saint 14
Body- legendary - Plate of no tomorrow
Arms- legendary - Raku crucible type(scout perk) / Monitor type II(auto perk)
Legs - it dint matter he's a lvl 16 haha.. winning

Body - exotic- Lucky Raspberry & exotic -"the wolf"
Arms - legendary- AOS#Cryptid

Well I currently own zero exotics weapons. I do have a 300 dam scout rifle and a Shadow Price AR from a drop that holds 42. Head I have saint 14. In vault no backup And Lupi. Rest is legendary from vanguard. I feel lucky to have gotten saint from a purple engram. I don't know how realistic it would be to get raid boots pants and chest but maybe. I'd really more than anything like to get icebreaker. For soloing that seems key.

Heavy: whichever flavor of Legendary SMG works best for that strike Head: Crucible legendary with melee / grenade cooldown Body: Voidfang and Vanguard legendary Hands: Sunbreakers, IB AR and Vanguard with Handcannon reload Feet: IB AR and Vanguard legendary with Handcannon ammo PvE strikes I use Sunsinger with a handcannon and Sunbreakers. 2 epic 'nades are amazing.I also try to run a dicipline heavy build so I toss a ton of grenades. PvP I tend to use Voidwalker with a handcannon and Voidfang. Yeah. I'm pretty much a grenade freak. And TDYK is a beast of a handcannon.y

A lot of the exotic armor is positioned to be game changers, which is what exos should be and why so many exotic weapons feel so bland, because they don't accomplish this at all. Gear like Symbiote, Praxic Fire, Sunbreakers and a bunch more can really make you change how you build your subclass and gear for it. I was lucky enough to score an Armementarium a few weeks ago and it changed my Striker build, the rest of gear needs and my desire to level my Defender subclass. My current gear is my aforementioned Armamentarium, Crucible Legendaries for the rest of my armor (which I'm totally swapping out for FWC Int/Dis gear as soon as I hit Rank 2...and have Marks) and Timur's Lash, which is getting replaced with a Lord High Fixer as soon as I have the Marks. The rest of my gear are all blues. 3 snipers, one of each element (screw shielded mobs), a shotgun for PvP only (it's lvl 16, but has insanely high Impact, a 5 round mag and wrecks more face than lvl 20 Crucible rares that have dropped for me), and a mix of rocket launchers and machine guns that cover all damage types (I do prefer machine guns to rockets; easier to control and I can chain more kills with than rockets).
