Why was Halo 4 bad?
I enjoyed halo 4 almost as much as halo 3, I figure there's no where better to go for a good answer than here.

The story was shit. The multiplayer was shit. Forge was shit. Custom games was shit. Sparton ops was ok, but not nearly as valuable as firefight, and took too much time to make.
