1. There is no penalty for an enemy going inside the bubble. Period. In PvP it's not as bad because everyone runs AoL, but it really irks me when on a nightfall strike a vandal can just waltz up to my "impenetrable shield of void energy" and pimp-slap me. There should be some sort of DoT similar to the poison that Hive Wizards can inflict, although minus the slow effect as that would be ridiculous.
Helm of Saint -14 solves this issue for you. I recommend trying to get if off Xur if possible. I got lucky and pulled it from one of his random Helm Engrams. It effectively repels enemies who step inside your bubble. They get the little red mark above their heads and they also will cover their eyes and back away. I cannot speak for in in PvP bc I have never run into an opposing one myself however, it seems to do its job as i normally don't have an issue killing fools who step into my bubble. OP: all of your other points are valid , including this one. Without the helm, there is no penalty for coming into the bubble. I could write a whole article on how the bubble alone should be changed. I just wanted to let you know, the Helm of Saint -14 works wonders if you have access to it.

  • I've got the helm, and although it does help remedy the issue I find it ridiculous that in order to make my super a viable repellent I have to use an exotic armor piece. It also doesn't stop Bladedancers' auto-lock melee, which kind of vexes me. I'm not slating you and I hope that I don't appear to be condescending. I also got the helm the same way lol.

  • Tbh I just can't seem to part with my armamentarium, it's just too handy. The amount of kills I've had on PvP from people mistakenly thinking that I only have one grenade is just priceless.

  • Oh really? I just got that this week from the Nightfall Raid. So you def recommend upgrading that? Do you get 2 grenades everytime it recharges? Or only two on your first life?

2 grenades every time it recharges. The first grenade is affected by your Disc stat, whereas the 2nd is set to a 1min delay. I haven't tested it extensively but I believe that gauntlets that offer grenade CD on melee hit affect the 1min CD of the second grenade. The extra special and heavy armour is a lifesaver on Nightfalls. Definitely would recommend upgrading it.

  • Good info, thanks. So you don't get two at the same time? Still have to wait for the second one to recharge?

  • When you spawn into strike, VoG, crucible etc you have access to both grenades. After throwing both, the first grenade will regenerate according to your Disc stat and then afterwards the 2nd will start spawning.

  • Perfect, thanks for clearing that up. I may start working on leveling that up tonight. I am feeling the grind hard though lately :(
