I'm sure the game is good. But the games don't really compare in terms of lifespan. A fighting game is just a fighting game, happily traded in for next year's version. Destiny is in the same class as MMOs, so as long as they don't -blam!- it up there will be more content and things to do over the years to keep you playing. Who is still sitting around playing Mortal Kombat 2 nowadays? No one. Who is still playing games like EverQuest of Ultima Online? Quite a few people actually.
