Lol - if a real question: Someone who believes that men and women should have equal rights.

Edited by ariesdragon123: 10/24/2014 1:22:35 PMWhat Snipe said. A few feminists go around giving the ideology a bad name but actual feminists just believe men and women should have equal rights. Because it's an ideology, and not an organization or anything like that. It covers a wide variety of people. Some of whom call themselves that but do not really act that way at all. For example it's possible for someone to be pro-life and be a feminist and pro-choice and be a feminist. Even though those two camps are as different as different can be. You shouldn't assume anything about a person beyond that they believe in equal rights for both gender until they explain themselves.

Nope, a feminist is someone who thinks women are better than men. A chauvinist is someone who thinks men are better. And EQUALIST is someone who thinks males and females are equal. Common misunderstanding though.

Actually, not, dear. Feminism, however bad might be the wording, believes in equality. In Spanish the words go as follows: Feminista: equality Machista: man is superior Hembrista: women is superior. Bad wording nonetheless. But, please, could we not start a debate about that here?

No agreement needed. Poor wording is agreed. English (American) differs from Spanish.

What's a Feminist? Anita Sarkeesian.

If female: what should be common. If male: what should be commom, though it is an endangered species.
