Well even if there was a million shaders, the majority of active high level players will only bother wearing the 'Chatterwhite' white shader you get for completing the raid so there would still be no variety.

Everyone I play the high level content with, Nightfall and Raids, about 80% of them will be bright white. So yes alot are still wearing it.

A lot of your friends anyway. Personally I hardly ever see Chatterwhite. Plain white is boring.
