Follow the money trail

I've logged about 250 hours. I am over lvl 40 with the cryptarch. Level three or above with all gear vendors and clans. I have a level 29 hunter with no raid gear and a level 25 titan who is one exotic and all upgrades away from 29 as well. The titan only took my probably 15 hours of gameplay to get there. I have completed the raid six times now, and other than my first go through when I received gauntlets that I mistakenly disassembled because of the stats, I haven't received any gears. I didn't know how low the drop rates were, otherwise I would have held onto the gauntlets. Other than that, I have gotten the sniper, scout rifle, and auto rifle. Which is great, but won't cut it for hard mode, unless my group is absolutely pristine. Anyway, I'm all for a challenge. I want to complete hard mode, and I'm sure it's possible with a group of 29s. Even better with thirties. I'm a veteran MMO player so I understand the grind aspect, and I'm okay with it. It's just an annoyance. I don't have much reason to play now until the raid resets every week. Now, here comes the money aspect. I don't believe Bungie has made it difficult to gear up solely for the MMO experience. It has to do with play time. Why would someone play a game when they have maxed their level out and have no more story content to complete? They wouldn't. Again, I'm not entirely complaining, just pointing out some facts. Here's another one. Now that Destiny has preached teamwork for the raid, they want to change the last boss up so the transport is random. Great. Sure, we can go on the fly, but what about positioning? Gun choice? Cool downs? All strategic planning that now has to be changed due to the chance of a random teleport. Now let's look at the story. Jesus. Can anyone explain the story in more than three minutes? It can't be possible. Activision, kings of the dlc have grabbed this game and choked it. Want to find out more? Wait until December. You know, when all these other games will be out and you'll be so frustrated with the lack of end game and RNG loot system, you'll probably already be gone. Just a huge risk targeting shooter fans with a hardcore MMO raid loot method like RNG. My last point, Sony. Why? How much money did Sony give you to get all these exclusives. Why would you alienate half of your fan base? Oh, and guess what? They also get these special "Ninja" days where PS4 players can play against the developers in PVP. PS4 only. Xbox One doesn't get a day. Maybe I want to play against the developers. Not exactly fair. I paid just as much for my game as the people who play on a PS4 but don't deserve everything they get? I hope the money Sony gave you was worth it you sell outs. Get your crap together or you'll lose a dedicated player and most likely players. I'm sure I have other games with better story lines to finish on my 360.

  • Cod:AW, Far Cry 4, GTA:PS4 Edition, Dragon Age: Inquisition. These are just a few of the games whose "destiny" it will be to replace Destiny on my PS4. And unless it changes from the unceasing boredom simulator it now is, I can't see me playing Destiny ever again If this shallow, hollow, boring games does not get radically fixed soon, the player base will evaporate. Its gonna be hilarious when the pitiful defenders of this disappointing travesty, find themselves alone in the Tower, wondering where everybody went.
