Honestly, Ghosts had promise. I was enjoying it on the PS3 for a bit in November 2013. Then the PS4 version hit and I jumped onto that. I had fun with the clan stuff and was really into the multiplayer, as flawed as it was. It all fell apart when the clan wars got extremely repetitive and failed to provide better rewards (we already got them all). The game slowly died around the first DLC and just turned over and died completely at around March when nothing was left to play. Instead of DLC, they should have addressed the issues within the game, added content based on the current event they were holding, and rewarded players better for playing the game. Clan Wars fell off because it was completely automated and the rewards were minimal. The excessive hit registration and gameplay lag was just overwhelming, and the rewards (handful of EXP and squad points) were just insulting. The game wasn't worth playing unless you're in GB/MLG/UMG. It seems Destiny is following the same path, exactly, almost on purpose. There are comments about Destiny not making it past January; this is false. The December DLC will give it some more time in its lifespan, but exactly like Ghosts, it'll die off completely at around March. The only remnants of the game would probably be raid whores, potentially MLG/UMG players (if they decide to add private lobbies), and people who just bought the game at that time.
