Agreed. There are what, something around 50 (*edit* 108 according to RequiemPrime) shaders in the game at the moment? When I started the game, I was disappointed that I would have to wait until level 20 to customize the way that I looked (little did I know at the time that 99% of the game is the post-level 20 grind) and since then, It's been absolutely aggravating having access to the few shaders that one can reasonably attain. The four shaders from the clothier in the tower, combined with the additional four or five you constantly receive from the crucible and strike missions, make up only what, one tenth of the shaders in the game? I have 5 of one kind of shader, three of another, but I only have maybe 15% of all the shaders confirmed to exist in the game? Perhaps the most frustrating of all is the fact that obtaining the shaders seems to be nothing more than random chances for certain events, such as leveling up reputation with groups. I can't seem to find any well documented information on how to get any of the shaders, since they all seem to just kind of show up. At least the chatterwhite shader was the raid reward and happens to be my favorite... Please fix this Bungie. At the very least, make the acquisition process a bit more systematic so that we know what we're doing.

There are 108 known shaders.

My bad, I should have looked it up before posting :P Still, it's almost worse. The ease of attaining some shaders compared to others is too wide if you ask me.

On no worries, I'd figured you just weren't aware of it. :) But yeah, I do agree that it does make it worse. 50 of those shaders could've been rotated into the outfitter's store, the faction ones given to when you reach a certain rank with that particular faction, retain the few for random crucible /strike rewards, and so on. But the RNG mess that they are doing with them is actually pretty infuriating, just due to the fact that it's an aspect of personalization that is being kept from players.
