Let me sum up the forums, the game, and peoples attitudes, with an analogy!

A local pub. It has a hardcore following of locals that drink there but you go in to see what the place is like as you never know until you try. As soon as you get inside there is a bad vibe in the air, snide comments and dodgy looks are being thrown your way. You buy a pint and find a quiet area to enjoy it, but you can feel the "locals" wanting you to leave, wanting you to get out of their pub and go somewhere else. You finish your pint, which was enjoyable, thank the barman as you leave and never return. You tell your friends about the experience and that there are better pubs to go to which are much more welcoming. . The locals rejoice due to no "randoms" coming in to drink, they can sit in their pub without anyone from the outside getting in their way. 1 month later the pub closes down due to lack of business, the landlord tried to create a nice welcoming bar, but the locals kept business away, the pub got a bad reputation and he was unable to save it. That is exactly where this game and forum seem to be going.

 • Dear Sir/Madam/Genderless Forum Entity: While we appreciate that you are attempting to make a point, perhaps you would consider a counterexample. A new bar opens and people flock to the novelty. It gets some things right and misses on others. Suggestions for improvements are made, but a few patrons feel the need to vociferously complain about everything. Despite being a successful business up to this point, these patrons denigrate the owner, insult the other clientele, and constantly harp on every perceived flaw. And yet they keep frequenting the establishment. "As soon as that chain bar opens up, I'm leaving!" they proclaim. When the chain bar opens, they do indeed leave. The original bar does less business, but still continues to be profitable. In addition, it is now a much more enjoyable place for the patrons that remained.
