The whole point about the fight was to stay alive and kill the boss. Resources were given to the players, and they used it. The bonus chest, was just that, a bonus, for meeting certain conditions in the fight. It wasn't something that was required of the player(s) to kill the boss and move on to the next area. And yes I understand you can kill the boss without using the platform, I've done it myself with my clanmates. But as I've stated before it is one of many ways to defeat the Templar, just like the pillar use to be. So yes, I still believe that using the pillar was fine.
At this point let's just agree to disagree and move on.

When the people using the strategy call it cheesing then it can't be right. Using the platforms beats the developers, not the fight itself. Look, I feel like we're getting no where my friend. So, I suggest we agree to disagree lest this conversation go for another day. Neither of us want that I hope.

Anything anywhere that can be considered low risk to a player can be called "cheesing". However that does not diminish the fact that it would be legitimate, considering they've done nothing but use the tools and resources provided to them by the developer. And yes see are not seeing eye to eye..let's just let it die already.
