It has a story. A shit story that delivers nothing of importance to keep people hooked on.

While I'm not gonna argue about the difference of lore and story. I will say that the story in-game is short/small it does leave questions unanswered and even doing some missions that are suppose to have an impact on the state of The Traveler. There's no showing of anything changing. The mission I'm talking about is called "The Ritual" where The Hive have a piece of The Traveler and are preventing it from talking or healing. Also the Stranger gives you her gun after you kill the heart of the Black Garden. Take a look at it's discription, that in itself should give you some questions. Of which I hope is answered in the expansions. That's all I'm gonna say for now

Truth be told, the only thing that has caught my curiosity is the description for the Stranger's Rifle. But then again, there should have been more cutscenes to develop or "introduce" the game.

Agreed. I also think that your race should have had an effect on not only where you start out at but how others treat you. I somehow wonder if an Awoken would really be from earth and if they would really be treated the same by the Awoken met in the story.
