They just need to add high level PvE and PvP gear on top of the raid gear. For PvE just stitch a couple of strikes together and put in a badass boss at the end, and make so you only get rewards once a week. An according to the leaked DLC they already have a tournament style thing for PvP gear coming out. This way everyone can have gear based on their play style.

  • I suppose I should've elaborated a little more. I was mainly talking about the perks on the raid gear. A lot of them are raid specific, while that's obviously good for the raid, they're useless outside of it. I see nothing wrong with more options of endgame gear. If they were to stitch a few strikes together and put in a boss at the end, we could have one more activity to do in order to get endgame gear. The gear obtained from the strike would be more PvE related instead of raid related. Any game like this I've ever played has roughly 3 options of endgame gear, PvE, PvP, and Raid.

  • The perks specific to the raid are only an additional tree. They don't replace the other perks. I'm level 30 and none of my raid gear gives me raid perks in place of normal perks I can use outside of the raid. Boots let me carry more heavy ammo. Chest let's me carry more hand cannon ammo and special weapon ammo. Gloves increase reload speed with special weapons as well as replinish grenade energy with melee hits. Helmet increases grenade throw distance and I gain more super energy from npc kills. In addition to that the helmet has a chance to spawn orbs on vex critical kills (still not raid specific) while the gloves let me gain super energy from Oracle or praetorian kill. When it comes to the raid gear for warlocks. Only the gloves give raid specific perks. But every warlock has sunbreakers anyway so they skip wearing the glove entirely if they can obtain the helmet. Which means none of the perks at level 30 like myself are raid specific.
