You cannot get this chest by hiding on one of the platforms. It also takes a lot longer to kill the boss if you stand on the platform. I played with one group that did it this way and it was pretty boring. I don't think the fight needed to be patched.

  • I'd like to know how many people have attempted hard mode raid with the recent changes, did you pass, and lvl of characters in raid? Easy is a joke and the platforms were never necessary so if you used them there iono. Part of reason being you can reach 29 with "effort" gear as I'll call it meanin your 3 Lvls over the encounter (more potential dmg dealt and less taken) problem is and why this is resorted to in hard is purely how the encounter became "harder" Dmg output increased, spawn density increased on the npc side and no re spawn. Add that in with avg people being 29 and taking 15% dmg reduction and 15% increase dmg taken in think is roughly how the numbers go? Now keep nerfing the guns you have us to get through because your pvp scheme is broken, I.e. Atheons epilogue (less dmg, more kick = fail) That is my main beef with the changes. We as a community, love it or hate it, have cleared all the content bungie made available because they didn't account for how much people would actually play the game. So to increase the time taken to "clear" the game they nerf items and tweak encounters.... Sad and dangerous path they are taking for the life of an mmo(lite) style game

  • I dont think the AR nerf has made much of a difference. It may take a few more bullets to get the kill but that hasn't affected whether or not I stay alive. Players will adapt to the nerds and fond a way to be successful. It is what it is I guess.

  • I have just started hearing about this, and I think that is just excellent. Praise is deserved for including something like that. But surely that also eliminates the need for the kill volume. I know I want to try for the chest now. My gear won't upgrade itself!

  • What exactly is a kill volume? I didn't understand that part. There is also an extra chest (supposedly) if you manage to build the spire in the first part without letting a Praetorian take control of any of the 3 circles. Not sure if there are any other bonuses in the raid.

    Kill Volume, as in "a volume of space that kills you". [i]Volume [/i]refers to a three dimensional area in this context, not how loud something is.
