I don't know why people are calling these place holders. Watch the video for the ketch mission, the doors work! Everything is already finished! All they need to do is throw in enemies which are minuscule mission files. Now if these areas were placeholders, the environment wouldn't be finished, objects would glitch, etc. The terminus was shown at the last E3, come on now if that isn't enough proof I don't know what is. If you can already get to these areas in game then they have been there since day one. God I'm not even going to continue because factual evidence isn't enough for some people.
