Faction rep
Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can answer a question for me?
I know when you equip a faction item you stop earning vanguard rep but how does it work in the crucible?
Do you still get crucible rep? or does it all go to your faction? Or wishful thinking do you get both?

wearing a faction piece means you gain that faction rep from bouties/strikes and crucible. but marks remain the same.

So we have 2 separate things. REPUTATION & MARKS if you don't equip any faction gear then by handing in Bounties you increase your Vanguard Reputation and by doing strikes you earn Vanguard marks. If you ARE wearing a Faction item when you hand in bounties then you increase your Reputation with that specific Faction. But you need Crucible marks to buy stuff. Pretty much to buy any weapon from any faction you need to reach Level 3 (Reputation) and have 150 Crucible marks. Hope that helped.
