Yeah just like with trying to understand the story, I have 0 clue why there are factions at all or what their purpose is. Great, I can grind out levels to get basically a different skin armor or gun with the same stats; but with grindy farming and tough materials to get (especially if you mostly play solo) I'm not even gonna bother fully upgrading my gear UNTIL I get my legendary pieces. Which again, being a mostly solo experience player b/c I don't have tons of friends on PS4, and the PUG system sucks (or isn't even offered for dailies and weeklies) I won't really even get. Honestly the last few nights with that reality I've been just playing regular PS4 arcade games in favor of Destiny since I know I'm not really going to gain anything. I wish I could get a refund on the DLC pack I prepaid for on the digital download. Silly me for trusting Bungie wouldn't let me down after Halo.
