Thank you but its like the game now knows I'm looking for them and they have coincidentally dried up.

I had the same experience, but kept going back to the gunsmith for about 1 1/2 days. Finally he had them in stock and I bought 9 to complete the ten. Keep trying every few hours. The stock changes some even between res-stocks, so I'd go back to him every time I had a need to go to the tower.
