does everyone play destiny to "get stuff"?

I've been reading quite a few very negative posts recently about "not getting this" or "getting that but it falls short of what I deserve for my time". The most recent being that there is no point in playing iron banner as you get inferior items to the raid. I thought of another reason to play destiny, because it's fun (in my opinion). It irritates me that people seem just want light/gear. When you get it all will you stop playing? Think of level 30 as a journey not a destination and you may enjoy the experience more.

  • I'm just stating this, iron banner=rehashed crucible+ a few "shiny" new items from the vendor and bounties. It was the same with queens wrath. Rehashed slightly harder versions of old missions. This game is so repetitive, it's basically the definition of insanity "doing the same thing the same way over and over expecting a different outcome" and I feel that that isn't exactly an experience that ANYONE can miss ANYTHING in... In my opinion.

    • Yes! It's about the journey, not the destination! Thank you! I wish more people would slow down and see the game this way instead of lusting after exotics and missing so much of the experience.
