You've Created The Enviornment. Now Fill It! =) (Suggestions)

Hey Bungie! This game has been really fun. It's kept me and my friends talking about it even while we are away from our consoles which is something a game hasn't given us in a while. One suggestion we have for you is that your character should be rotatable in character creation and while viewing armor. The game focuses on the beauties of the world and we feel that this is something essential when trying to outfit a character. I made my guardian without knowing what the back of her hair looked like and then I couldn't fix it because I would need to go through the whole tutorial again. Another suggestion is that the story seemed to be lacking a bit. We have played up through to the last couple missions on Mars without knowing the full extent of what our race's (Human, Awoken, and Exo) have been through. I have listened to every cut scene, loading screen, and grimoire card has said to me and understood what I needed to do but it was lacking excitement and build up. We listened to the story of Destiny explained on a video and it sounded awesome. We found out we killed bosses that had taken over the moon and met factions of Cabal that are detrimental to the seize of Mars. We see they have different names over the other heads, but there is nothing special about them because the first time we see them they are merely another enemy with a shield and a yellow health bar. Angry Joe is a video game review person on YouTube and I highly suggest watching it. He kinda rips into you guys a little so please please please don’t get offended, it’s part of his review process that every game gets. Watch the entire thing if you want to get a very good criticism. I agree with everything he says: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzopWRXK_r4 Something cool that I see people commenting on is about the ships. They say it would be fun to customize your ship a little more and see it when you are not using it, docked somewhere to show off to your friends. Maybe you could walk inside of it and in orbit you could move it around a little with the analog sticks? Another thing you could do is show it dropping you off when you join a fire team that is already on a patrol. Glimmer seems to be of little use now that we are nearing level 30. There needs to be something more useful to spend it on that costs a lot so we have something to save up for. What a lot of MMO’s do right is make an item that is almost impossible to obtain because of the amount of things you need to gather to make the weapon. Exotic weapons are on the right path but these weapons should require you to make an exotic and combine it with some other things to make a really awesome endgame cool looking kick-ass gun. Games like Guild Wars 2 do this perfectly and if you take the time to understand how they do it then you might be able to see what I am talking about. The PVP is great right now. I find my self not only trying to kill my opponents but trying to understand and predict what their next move is. It’s really nice that this game has developed you to not only pull the trigger but to out smart the enemy before taking a risk. I wouldn’t change the PVP much. It is definitely a strong point in the game. Something small that could be added is more places like the tower to interact with players. Maybe a racing arena for Sparrows? A small city under the tower with more people walking around? Maybe you could buy a little home to customize and show to your friends? That last one is pushing it but it would be a breakthrough in an MMO ;) wink* wink* be the first to do that! This final suggestion is a long shot but I will throw it out there. Having some sort of trade system would be appreciated. It does take away from the game because you could have your friends get everything for you but a lot of MMO’s have this and they are still worth the full commitment of playing them. An even longer shot would be some sort of trading post that ran like an auction house. World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2 have these and what it does is create an economy. I already know that one of the top items that people would buy are armor shaders because they are hard to obtain but this would solve my solution of having something to spend glimmer on. I’m no game maker but all I want to say is take a look into it with the few MMO’s that do that because putting something like that in Destiny would make the game feel more connected to reality. Again, Destiny has been very fun! You have created an awesome environment for us. Take the next step and fill the environment with heart, soul, and interaction with other players of the human, awoken, and exo races that bind us to this game. O Ambulo O

I agree with most of what you have said and I enjoy the light you bring to your criticism. I disagree with the trading. The trading system can't work for gear because of how they did the leveling. Instead of a standard leveling system where personal stats are upgraded and armor buffs, they made armor the entirety of stats. If they changed that, then gear trade could exist. But it would ruin the entire balance (even further than the RNG does) of progression in the game. Instead of implementing trade, they should change the loot system so it reflects the progression of gear.
