I am sorry what does it matter only place you see yourself is in the tower other places you're in first person and ever player you see has a helm on so changing your looks is really pointless.

Oh it matters all right. I want my pretty lady warrior to be an even prettier lady warrior by customizing her with hair that actually looks good by being earned through strikes or crucible. Looks matter to people like me, who start a new character just to play with the customization screen. It matters.

Oh I can see it now you almost have the last boss in VoG dead he shoots at you just missing your head you say "wtf oh shit stop the fight that mother f**ker just shot my hair that's it need to go back to the tower and get my hair redone why oh why didn't I wear my helmet"

The only scenario i wouldn't do that is if defeating the boss got me a new hair option.

Also they could add a "Helmetless" option down the road, when appearance would matter as well.

Yeah! Seriously why can't they have like a invisible dye or something like in Diablo 3. Some of the armors just look stupid as hell.

What I really wish they'd do is let you transfer or upgrade lesser gear to legendary. Because I think the armor first level 10 and below is much cooler looking because of how simplistic it is. However, it's deemed totally useless when you hit a level beyond it.

The lower level armor does look way better then the legendary I totally agree.
