Well you should make fire teams if you plan on rushing. Joining a strike with randoms and forcing them to rush makes you a dick. Once you get to the respawn point it automatically teleports the team to you. That's called being selfish.

well judging by these replies to this post and others like it there are quite a few people who want speed runs and les so who want to trudge through every worthless mob... so I would say the selfish one are the ones like you....

The ones who play the game like its suppose to be. Lol. If the intent of bungie was for people to kill enemies along the way(reason why they put them there) then how does that make me selfish for doing so. Doing speed runs after joining random people who didn't plan on rushing is you being selfish. Speed runs in most games require a team being put together so everyone knows it's a speed run. Smh logic and common sense go a long way in the gaming world as well as real life.

Edited by Shinamo: 10/6/2014 7:33:53 PMThey placed the mission spots in the normal map overlay for story purpose, that doesn't mean you have to kill everything on the way. Heck, the main objective is even stated as killing X boss in the intro; not kill X boss and his entire army. These are assassination missions. Common sense should tell you that means priority is for the boss kill. And if the mission is supposed to be kill everything on the way, why is the first room on mars with the right level mobs a free respawn zone? Even on Nightfall, deaths in it don't matter. Considering how Nightfall works, common sense would dictate that Bungie views that as a room that doesn't matter. But that likely sped by you, just like your fireteam. EDIT: Also, there isn't a kill count objective. Even the midbosses get objectives added in for them being a necessary kill, but the scrub mobs don't. So again, if the goal was to kill them as well, why isn't there an objective for it?

Reading that bored me. I don't see your point. Using matchmaking to do speed runs with out your fire team having a clue of your plans is being a selfish player. You have no clue what bounties those other two player may be trying to complete. Common sense would be to make a fireteam and do speed runs. Not join a random strike then run to the no respawn zone with seeing if the other two people want to do the same.

well look the bottom line is speed runs are way more efficient... you don't like it find a group of people who think like you and make a clan, call it the snail trail.... other than that leave the group if someone runs off.... I will not be slowed down because you refuse to be efficient, I can solo most strikes anyway, if I didn't need the play list for the marks and rep I wouldn't even use it.

Yup selfish gamer. And my clan which is over 1400+ is pretty good with setting up speed runs without -blam!-ing up some random persons day because I'm rushing.
-
then run with them and quit your bitchin.... my god, you apparently have this problem solved and yet you still whine... you know there are real issues with the game, like the lack of story, the crappy rng loot system, and the lack of open world, but you want to quibble over non issues you apparently have solutions to.... ridiculous.

No I just enjoy seeing you butthurt

you're gonna have to put it in deeper than that if you want to hurt my butt... I am well worked in.

Damnit. I thought 2 inches was all I needed. I failed

You're dropping the engram counts of people who run with you, and there's two of them if you're joining a strike. All so you can get your 25 strikes done faster. Who is the selfish one here? No one's talking about doing low level mobs. We're talking about doing the encounters as they are.
