I'm reporting all the speedrunners. They can either go back to whatever MMO they came from (classic MMO behaviour) or fill up a fireteam before they pull that crap.
The most annoying part about this is that they can't communicate their intentions, which is why they should do it in a private setting and not when matched with randoms. It's pretty much a given that people will skip low level mobs before the strike area has even started but it can get confusing during strikes and I've on numerous occassions found myself overrun by the mobs the speedrunners aggroed (first gate area on Mars is a good example. It's also complete BS that speedrunners can respawn everyone when they enter the next area).
English
-
I communicate my intentions by summoning my sparrow and racing towards the boss.

-
dont report me for playing the game DAYUM!
-
Edited by Dooodley: 10/5/2014 8:14:24 PMYou're not playing the game, you are playing the RNG system. I bet you're one of those who praise the game first chance you get too. Ironic when you're more interested in the loot than the expereince.
-
People rush strikes for marks and rep.
-
There many DIFFERENT ways to experience something. You think a sniper is going to play like a. Shot gun user and point blank everything? No. Is a titan going to play like a hunter not likely but might possibly attempt it. Some want to be the fastest, some like taking their time. There isnt only ONE way to play.
-
Are you talking about the experience we have experienced a 100 times before. Seeing how fast you can do it is actually fun at times. I go bladder dancer for just that reason. Can't catch me I'm the ginger bread man. Pick it up grandpa. Make like a tomato and ketchup.
-
do you know what playing the game means? sorry id rather not take a an hour to do a strike
-
Ironic when you're more interested in the loot than the expereince
It's partly a fault in the game's design and the loot system
-
Report my boot in your sack turd, you didn't buy my game copy ill play any damn way I see fit.
-
Edited by Dooodley: 10/5/2014 8:14:55 PMSo get three buddies and run it in a confined enviroment where you don't have to expose a third party to your BS strategy. If Bungie wanted us to skip everything they wouldnt have taken the time to place those enemies there.
-
Most of those enemies are there for the sake of the PATROL mode. It's usually the last area of a strike that is closed off to patrol. The only strike that offers a LOT of skippable enemies that I can think of would be The Nexus.
-
You're the typical mmo player I hate. It's everyone else's fault and not yours right? Why don't YOU get two friends and go circle jerk in whatever strike you see fit.
-
Can I borrow that argument if I ever get a speeding ticket? -"Not my fault that everyone els was driving slow". They would have named it boss battle and not strike if they wanted us to skip everything leading up to the boss. So no, I am not at fault here for playing the game the intended way.
-
And you can't force people to play the way you want. "Speed running" is not a bankable offence, so keep reporting, you're not accomplishing anything.
-
Or you could simply do the same and not have an issue.
-
Turn your app off and go hang yourself with a belt in the shower, you're ruining my life experience :)
-
Reported.
-
-
You're a moron. Go back to playing COD.
-
...To be fair, it would make more sense to tell people who speed run to go back to CoD, as its appeal to many people who play it is the lack of patience needed.
-
Is it normal behaviour to never skip anything in COD? If so, I might just start playing that franchise. Can you promise that you won't be there? Also, kicker that you tell someone with an almost ten year old account on the former Halo site to go play COD. GJ, champ.
-
I'm sure your misguided delusions of superiority are way more important to Bungie than my credit card! Lol Report away, just reported you for harassment. Let's see if I'm the only one :)
-
Tell a man to hang himself with a belt in the shower and then you report him for harassing you...because he reported you. Semper Stulto.

I'm sorry, does go jump in a lake ruffle less feathers? Shall I massage all the wounded, fragile egos in the forums? Dude wants to report people for playing THEIR game THEIR way. Sorry I don't subscribe to fascism, nor will I be bullied by some pimpled half pint threatening to "report" folks. Back him up all you want, work them jack boots!
