Or I can get 10 strikes done in the time it takes you to do 2 giving me 20 to 40 blues in the time you get 1 purple.

Not even close. The normal enemies take very little time to kill and you'll be spending the same amount of time on the bullet sponge Boss. You'll complete a couple more Strikes and get half the Engrams.
-
Lol no. I'll complete the strike in under 8 minutes while you are still in the beginning shooting low levels and progressing slowly taking 15 to 20 minutes to finish. 2-3X slower than I and I always get 2 to 6 blue engrams at the end of a match.

Edited by Twohothardware: 10/5/2014 6:04:07 PMNope, sorry. Because I blast through the enemies about a minute after it takes you to speed past them.
-
Uh huh, well enjoy killing the low levels while I get all the strikes down to about 5 minute times.
-
You don't realize that your process is completely wrong and yet again idiots like you are spreading these ridiculous inefficient tactics and trying to rationalize that they are efficient is icing on top of it all.
-
That is because my efficiency is clearing the boss as fast as possible. I have the nexus down to 4 minutes, the Mars strike down to 6 minutes, the archon priest down to 5.5 minutes, the devils lair down to 6 minutes, and pho goth down to 7 minutes. Why stop and shoot what I don't have to to up that time for a chance at a legendary engram? I get guaranteed blues the other way that have a chance of being purple.
-
Whatever you earn, I earn double to triple that. You think you're cool with your guaranteed blues? LOL you're actually reducing the rate of getting legendary engrams b/c you're killing less, not more. In Diablo, I worked off of less than 1% chance of getting a legendary and then the chance of that legendary being what I wanted was even less than that. We worked on killing more monsters more efficiently (speed+volume) rather than just speed. This is akin to grinding only elites and skipping trash versus killing masses of trash and blowing up elites instantly.
-
Also while we are on the subject, how many purples and exotics do you have that you didn't buy or do a bounty for? I have 6 exotic helmets, 2 chest pieces, 3 primaries, 2 secondaries, and 2 heavies. I then have 9 leg primaries, 6 secondaries, 6 heavies, 3 boots, 5 chest pieces, 2 gauntlets, and 3 helmets. Most of which came from a blue engrams off a tiger boss or from the crucible.
-
I don't have quite as many exotic drops than you do however my dropped legendary counts are higher than yours. That's just a matter of RNG. I have 2/4 raid set with raid wep and 2 shaders. How much do you have from the raid?
-
Shader, ship, sparrow, and 6 guns. None of the gear. But this isn't about the raid.
-
They're drops, which is what your point was. You turned this into a match of who has more important stuff, then I clearly win that. I still have a nice exotic collection, even if only 3 of them were drops and 1 was bounty. My number didn't even factor in the stuff I got for other classes.
-
Nor did mine.
-
Do you also break every pot and touch every body cause they can still drop orange? Also a dude played for 24 hours straight on twitch yesterday doing exactly what you are describing. You know how many purples he got? 1. 1 from killing every mob in the strikes and moving on to the boss. Know how many blues he got off the bosses? 200, know how many he got off of normal mobs? 100. I'd rather speed through it and get double the blues thank you very much. Diablos strategy doesn't work in this game, or else high level mobs would drop high level items and low level mobs would drop trash.
-
I do, for the ones in my path. Doesn't take me much to shoot in that direction when I'm already doing that, or if I'm on my TR Monk all it takes is for me to run by it. 1 guys experience isn't the same for everyone else. He still got more blues than you did b/c of the mob kills. You have no mob kills, so subtract 100 from that total and then halve the 200 number b/c we all know items can come identified roughly 40-50% of the time. In Diablo, even trash mobs can drop legendary items. Just the same in this game. If you're not killing them, you lose the chance. In Diablo, we didn't skip trash mobs. We killed trash mobs + elites. We did it in a way that was just as fast as if you skipped trash to kill only elites.
-
Low level mobs as in you are playing on master or below is only going to drop level 60 items. Vendor trash.
-
No, I'm talking about trash mobs, not low level mobs. Trash mobs. Torment VI and you see all those demons running at you? You kill them, not run past them.
-
Edited by A Saturnalia: 10/6/2014 4:10:02 PMI know, but this isn't Diablo. I can get a purple drop off of a level 1 mob in the cosmodrome There are other more effective ways to farm then running strikes for you if you want to earn gear.
-
Apparently you fail to understand the concept of a trash mob so I'm just gonna stop there. You also fail to understand that you get double the loot if you kill more efficiently and still clear lightning fast, so let's just end the conversation here. You use your method and I use mine.
-
Yep, like I said to the other guy, he can enjoy killing low levels for stuff, I'll be on the third strike by the time he finishes one.
