Raid Matchmaking - Not all of us know 5 people that play regularly...

I have 5 people that I can do VoG with

I don't have enough friends to do VoG

...or if we do, we arn't always on at the same time. eg time zones. I've not even been able to try the Vault of Glass yet because I don't know enough people to do it. I've tried inviting randoms, hanging out in front of the entrance, a tonne of stuff, to find a raid group. But its just kinda hard to do. and I understand theres limitations to it matchmaking with something like this, but I still wanna have the option. I mean you'd still have the dedicated clans doing it successfully, but like you said in the last weekly update, theres been teams of randoms that did it successfully. Its just really alienating for those who can't find 5 people to play with at once. I know theres been third party systems made by players, but I'd still love matchmaking to be a thing...also having to rely on a third party system to find a raid group is silly imo. EDIT New idea: Add Raid Ranks. eg: someone who's done the VoG raid 5 times successfully would be "VoG RR 5" (RR = Raid Ranks) These ranks would be for each raid. Example: DLC raid comes out House of Wolves Raid (HoW for short) Lets say the same bloke who has a "VoG RR 5" has beat this new raid 3 times, his HoW Raid rank would be: "HoW RR 3" So this way we know whi is experienced at it. There could be multiple Raid play lists, eg you have to have a Raid Rank of a certain amout to play it. Eg VoG RR 5 playlist would require only those who have beaten the raid 5 or more times. That way the veterans wouldn't have to deal with the new player who know nothing about it and the new players could learn together on the base VoG

 • I like 6 player co-op as an option, not being forced to do it! Why is Vault of Glass so stupid in that regard? Yes, that's good that you can finally play a 6 player co-op, IF you grind gear...thank you for having something that you can't accomplish on your own merits but have to wait for drops to become level 26. Anyway, whatever, you can do it, with idiot faction or some queen's wrath tickets for equipment. However, the mission requires 6 people who work together and probably need to communicate. If the PUG population is a person's best chance for completing it, well GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! I even have people I could play it with, but basically it takes scheduling it, making sure the time is clear, really quite frankly it is a pain in the you know what. It isn't even like World of Warcraft. It's like Everquest bad how this wasn't thought out. Or if it was, it is even more embarassing. Hey, a challenge is good, the option to play with people is good. Making sure I can't get to level 30 without doing this bag of nonsense right now is rocks for brains dumb. That's on a long list of dumb too, quite frankly.
