How to be successful in the VoG.

I thought I'd share a few things that helped my team and I while doing the vault of glass, it can be the difference between winning and losing. Communication is extremely important but too much can be confusing, keep it short and sweet. It's very important not to let your ego get in the way of taking direction. If your fire team is not a well oiled machine you will come crashing down like a house of cards. You have to work with each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Don't be a hero and try to hog kills, you will end up on your own and surrounded by enemies that you can't handle. It's extremely intense so don't forget to laugh at your failures and be proud of your successes, don't blame someone or feel bad for dropping the ball, just pick yourselves up and go again, it's not the end of the world. If you get stuck on a section don't do your head in about it. Take a step back, go to the tower and regroup. This is not a game for the half-hearted. Ammo Packs from the Gunsmith in the Tower are essential, there's nothing worse than running out of heavy ammo when the boss is breathing down your neck but remember they have a five minute cooldown so use them wisely. It's taken me a week to write this so I hope it helps you through. Having said that it was the most intense fun I've ever had while playing a video game and I can't wait to do it again next week. Good luck Guardians.

  • I like the part about short an sweet communication, it makes a world of difference when its just a couple words said and everyone can keep there cool. "Im down", "oracle on the left", "watch the hobgoblins", "minotaur at the back, minotaur on the left" ect ect. Im sure your raid team doesnt need a running commentator going on all the time but letting others know whats going on really makes a huge difference, if your being overrun by mobs dont be afraid to sing out for help. As Dan has said having a break will freshen everyone up. After 1 1/2 nights doing the raid last week and stopping when we were wiping on Atheon coming back the next night helped everyone concertrate.
