Since when has this been the cool thing to do? About a week ago is when it started getting annoying... I have to deal with at least one guy running ahead and leaving every single enemy alive and well behind him. They dont save any time by doing this, they make it more challenging to clear that part of the map, and besides saving what ammo they have (assuming enemies dont drop any for them) i cant find a good reason for doing this.
Id love to see something to prevent people from doing this or at least add "runner" to the player report. Way too many "unhelpful" players without counting these toolbags that run through the map.

Here's my input
-
Yes because going through the same boring repetitive strikes as slow as possible is sooo so fun...
-
You report people for this? You're worthless. Go play Mario cart or something.
-
Edited by Dragon Born: 10/6/2014 5:37:06 PMI only kill in spawn restricted. The rest are a waste of time, if you want to kill random ads go on patrol. And for idiots like you who stay behind killing level 8 enemies I just die when I get to spawn restricted.
-
Worthless post is worthless. I run through the strikes and missions because it's not as rewarding anymore to just kill everything unless there's a bounty involved.
-
LOL this community I -blam!-ing swear is a bunch of Crybabies. First people complained about people AFKing in a strike, which I get, lazy people suck. NOW people are bitching about people doing them. TOO FAST? Please go eat rat pellets.
-
If you are in an open zone and the crap the people are running by isn't even in the same level as your mission, what is the point in hanging around and killing it all? Leave that to the guys trying to kill that stuff in Patrols. That is what they are there for. Once you passed a certain point, none of those mobs are going to try to kill you anyway, so it isn't making it any harder except for you, wanting to hang back.
-
Yea because the first thing I want to do is spend 30 mins (out of the 6 hours I can actually play [thanks real life job]) doing a mission I could run through in about 10 if I'm on a roll
-
We call that speed run... Of course it saves time if you know which mobs you have to kill in order to move forward. Btw i was probably that guy cause i do it all the time. Thats what gets everyone to send me an invite when they need me to pull a speed run on a mission in order to QUICKLY finish bounties and be free to play out their destiny. Its a common practice in mmo's if you were never a guild leader or a high ranking member or the newbies that count on those members then of course you wouldnt know this but now you do

It's not other people's fault if you don't understand that there is a clear, undeniable advantage to running through parts that are unnecessary. You're the one who's being too thick headed to realize that the highest level of reward that comes from doing a strike is at the end-when you complete it. If you want to just kill random packs of low level mobs, you should be doing patrol. You don't have any higher/lower of a chance to get loot from the trash mobs in the strike so there's no point in wasting time killing them all. Besides, a lot of people are doing the exotic weapon bounties and 25 strikes is really annoying, especially when you're trying to complete it before Xur leaves... Saying you're going to report someone who probably takes the game a lot more serious and isn't so casual for being time efficient is just stupid. About as stupid as it would be if someone reported you for being annoyingly slow and not understanding that you shouldn't queue up for a strike to kill the same mobs you could be killing on patrol because that's not the point of them.
-
Your a noob, hurry your slow ass up.
-
You can't find a reason to do it? We can get through a strike in less than 10 minutes and move on. What is really annoying is people running with a group, and 2 of the 3 know the map and where to skip content and you have the third idiot standing there shooting level 9 fallen because they can't be bothered to hit sprint. We should add an "impediment" report for those people.
-
It is a waste of time. For example, in the Phogoth strike on the Moon, the area after your ghost decodes 3 runes, you come to a room where there is the Ogre and the Knight, you kill those, and after that you can literally just run past all those monsters and go straight to Phogoth.
-
You sir are the toolbag. Run patrol if you want to kill everything, otherwise learn to run strikes efficiently and fast so you can get the rewards and not slow up your team.
-
Edited by Fletchr: 10/6/2014 3:14:26 PMWhat you -blam!-ing ignoramus' don't get is that if you join a strike and do this, you are missing out on loot. Nobody gives a shit if your selfish ass wants to rush Vanguard rep/marks. Go do it with your (non-existant) friends, instead of wasting random peoples time. Or better yet, go do patrol missions, it's much more efficient. You are literally gaining nothing by rushing.
-
Most Strikes are comparmentalized anyway, Hell, there are times I just want to get through with it too. Grinding is never really fun, and honestly it's something far too many games have. (It might be fun though if there was a random encounter element incorporated into the level load S-curves to help eliminate the repetitivness.)
-
Probably because people have better things to do than the same thing over and over
-
Its genrally people playing on there own . Without anybody else at all . And running through all the low level nonsense like little annoying flies . To get to the point when the darkness comes oooh , thats where the good shit is at you see the bits we are actually bothered about . I mean after all havnt I done the level a million bazillion times allready like bloody source code man ;-)... hope this helps u understand this strange phenomena a little better :-) Ill wave next I run past you .
-
Because i don't enjoy wasting time.i could care less. Just do what you do and proceed on your own.
-
It's actually helpful to save time. Don't play with this guy if you run past portion he's going to report you as unhelpful!!!! Run from him.
-
It's called maximizing time investment. Skipping certain portions is more time efficient when calculating rewards over numerous strikes.
-
Seriously? Youre matchmaking for a strike, not everybody wants to kill every mob because some of us know that they respawn, alot. Hell I even ride past my friend on strikes and get to the actual mission. There are plenty of ways to kill mob after mob, its called patrol. You come here and call this subset of speed players unhelpful for completing the strike basically without you? Keep up, or get your own fireteam, or solo a strike playlist. Dont come here to cry. There are plenty of ways to play the way you like, insisting everyone plays your style is assinine.
-
The exotic bounties that require multiple strikes is what makes most people rush through the level.
-
Lol! I personally avoid any areas that are not manditory. I complete tiger strikes in 10 to 15 minutes. By doing so I maximize rep and marks and the fact you get 1 to 2 blues or better engrams at the end id say it maximizes egram gain.
-
Lol I blaze through everything that doesnt require clearing. Even respawn restricted areas. Its pointless clearing every enemy out. Not to mention u must have played that mission/strike more than 100 times by now. Nothing changed, no surprises.

No love for OP. lol
