Bungie has thankfully responded and I can no longer update the title to this thread. I will now be bumping in the comments on the current hour toll.

Thats great, so they have to beta test it for another week and then implement it the following week. so 2 more weeks of not playing. Well i guess i might as well just sell the game and get what i can out of it. It was great while it lasted, but this should have been resolved within a day or two, a week MAXXXX. 3 weeks on a singular issue that your not even sure will work is not good enough. They are trying to find a way to fix it faster so it wont happen to anyone else instead of just trying to fix everyones account that is currently having trouble. BTW im in the group that cant get past the initial title page and get centipede every time (also not at a college or a dorm). made a separate account on my xbox one and it works like a charm, but my main account that i have put everything into just gives me centipede. I deal with angry old customers all day that complain about everything, so i hate complainers, But in this case its just plain ridiculous.

I understand your frustration... I am a bit frustrated too. I'm not sure what your issue is specifically, but mine is that I get the centipede error every time I select my level 27 Warlock to play. I did, however, determine that I could create a second and third character and use them just fine. It's only my first character that is "bugged". It appears that the "centipede" error code is being displayed for many reasons. Their recent update evidently solved the issue for a vast majority of people who had submitted issues. They are obviously trying to tackle the most common and easily solvable reasons for the "centipede" error that they can first, so they can get the "noise level" down to a point where they can start debugging the much smaller reasons why the centipede error comes up. My level 27 Warlock with 2 exotic items and 2 exotic bounties has been giving me "centipede" errors since 5PM EST on Thursday, September 25th (197 hours). Since then, I have spent my time building up a level 27 Hunter and a level 15 Titan. -Peas

centipede error after i press A on the first initial screen. so i cant even make a new guardian on my current gamertag and then transfer stuff over in my vault if i wanted to. I made a new gamertag on my xbox one and was able to play without a hitch for 2 days now, but its frustrating bc i have been playing since opening night and got a hunter up to lvl 27 and now i cant play on it.

Yes. That is frustrating. I believe that problem is the other significant problem they are experiencing. Most of these problems seem to be connection related, and in most cases, it is probably due to the configuration differences between different ISP networks, as well as users' home network configurations. I saw one post where someone reported that lowering the MTU on their router solved the issues. To remove many of the potential issues with networking configurations, I would highly suggest that everyone avoid using a WIFI connection for their XBOX and have their XBOX connected to their cable modem (or equivalent) That will isolate your troubleshooting to your direct Internet connection and beyond. You may also be able to call your Internet provider and ask them to view your cable modem remotely and examine the logs. (most of them contain internal log files of disconnects and/or resets.
