When players rush in...

It can be okay. I'm a player who likes to be close up in combat. I'll note that I've been playing Bungie games since Halo 2 and so I have a nice amount of experience. I knew that I wanted to fight close up after a year of playing that but I didn't do it well at first. Halo 3 came out. Well I practiced and I got better. These are some tips/hints/etc to help you. If you're doing a nightfall, you're not confident and your teammate says "don't rush in" DON'T XD Play what you're comfortable with and when there isn't much to risk get used to what you have to do. If you are a close range player, mastering yourself can be as rewarding as lone wolfing most of what you need to. If you're like me, work on your hands. Become very precise with your controller. You want to be able to think of one thing and then do the next so you need to be able to line up shots/throws/etc as soon as they need to happen. Work on all aspects (even bouncing/throwing grenades to just the right spot). Get a rough estimate in your mind of how much you need to shoot to kill. In Halo I always moved, well I think I can say that here. Make sure you're always moving. Start to feel what directions you have to move/jump to not be hit. (I think if you character flies, being in the air is a straight line so you can easily be shot by enemies predicting where you go. Jump instead sometimes or learn how to manipulate this movement). Try to understand whats going on. How enemies move. Your environment you'll be reacting with. Different parts of what makes Destiny, Destiny. Some last things. Make sure your character is set up how you need it. Most everything from your upgrades to what weapons you use will be useful, different tools for different things so they're all important. I'm a Gunslinger, I use Hand cannon, Shotgun, Machine gun. Don't let people change the way you play. Sometimes there may be times when playing safe may be the smartest thing for you to do but other times go in and die. Die again. Die a third time. All of your mistakes build to mastering yourself as you learn from them. One day you'll rush in and you won't die but other entities will drop at thine feets ;D All of this will take time. Be patient with yourself, not something people like us do well XD but after a good amount of time playing shooters, especially Bungie games, you'll be great at this. I wish you prosperity guardian <3
