The only thing we're "owed" is a game that lives up to the marketing they are using to sell the game.
Using your Gas example:
Let's say you walked into a dealership and they told you "This car gets an EPA estimated 60mpg highway". You lease the car and over the course of the next month you find that you're only getting 20mpg highway. Other people with the vehicle are also upset and one of them finds out that the dealership disabled a fuel additive system that tripled the MPG because it wasn't "ready" at the time of sale. But don't worry, they'll enable it for you for the measly price of $2000 in a few months (which is a small price compared to the price of the car).
Would people have the right to complain then?
The fact is, they showed us gameplay where players were easily hopping in and out of games with their friends, bosses dropping loot, and told us that each destination in Destiny was the size of the entirety of Halo: Reach. That's not what they delivered.

[quote]The only thing we're "owed" is a game that lives up to the marketing they are using to sell the game.[/quote] Hate you burst your bubble, but E3 is not this, E3 is an expo for developers to show their work in progress to media (thus the reason only media is allowed in) Said media tends to oversell games as a finished product but the entire natura of the expo is treated as a work in progress so the display product is not indicative of the final verson, the commercial doesn't show any of this content, and commercial is all that they're legally obligated to follow, so while you feel you were "owed" a glorified tech demo, maybe you should just consider the fact you're a bit too gullible and blame the media for portraying said glorified tech demo as the final version. E3 IS NOT A COMMERCIAL, WATCHING E3 IS A PRIVILEDGE NOT A RIGHT, THE DEVELOPERS ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO ABIDE BY ANYTHING SHOWN AT E3. How is this so hard to understand? what is so difficult to grasp about it? I just don't understand how childish can you get.

Show me one commercial where they promise these things you're crying about, oh wait there is no such thing. Sure am happy, the world is still good, and you're still an idiot.

In the first E3 reveal, they stated that you could explore "all the way to that mountain", which is not true, and they never came out and said "Yeah nevermind, we couldn't make it that big". Or in the Out here in the wild vidoc were they clearly stated you could go to Saturn, which again, isn't there. Not to mention the many public events that supposedly brought in a good amount of players to help, but in just about every event in the game, 1-3 players seem to appear and that's about it. Some gameplay of the speaker talking to you on a ledge of a building in the tower, which never happened in the game, some items and areas in the most recent E3 gameplay video, which, if not actually in the game now, might be coming in the DLC. Pretty crappy if that's the case, showing off some DLC areas as if it's in the game from the start. Look, I like the game, believe it or not, it just feels bland right now. We're allowed to complain. If you wanna go by your logic, then you guys should stop crying about people who are crying. It all goes both ways. -The Idiot ;)

End User Licence Agreement (Which is essentially a contract you agree to by playing the game) States that the developer has a right to edit, add, or remove content and features without any warning. We're not complaing about the fact people are crying, we're complaing about the fact everyone is tossing around words like illegal and false advertisement when its neither, you have a right to complain, you do not however have a right to make up legal grounds. Cry all you want, that's what children do, but don't try to put on your big boy pants and pretend like you know something you don't just because you feel it should be so that it can support what you feel. According to the EULA, You pay for the Disc, case, manual, and the right to play the game, the developer has a right to change and remove anything without telling anyone, and in case of online games or games with online features they also have the right to turn off your ability to access said online portion without any warning or excuse, this is a form of contract which is agreed upon by playing the game, contracts are not just something you sign, calling it unfair or saying you didn't know doesn't validate your claim in law ignorance is never an excuse and inability to read the EULA falls entirely on the user. So the only way you could possibly actually claim false advertisement is if you play the game which negates your right to complain about it due to the EULA, and if you didn't play the game you don't get a right (I'm talking legal right, not personal right, personally do what you want) to complain because you didn't actually use the product so you cannot claim false advertisement. You think that's uncool and unfair? welcome to the world where the middle and lower class have been -blam!-ed six ways to sunday by the legal system for the past thousand years, and unlike your fancy toys they've been -blam!-ed over their homes, health, food, and family. Now come, big man, and cry some more about you not being able to explore that mountain in destiny as an ebola epidemic slaughters newborns and children all over the world.

I agree with you Bungie has a right but as consumers who are supporting them and giving them money it's be NICE (but it's not something they owe us) to just have some of this clarified by bungie I bought the collectors edition so I get the pass (key as it was like a 20MB-50MB download) so I get the content regardless However; I would like to see some more content now to freshen up the game and break some of the constant replay grind

You are incorrect. Marketing is designed to sell an idea, not a product. Every number car dealership tells you about a vehicle is skewed to the positive. When they cite horsepower numbers, they are talking about horse power at the crank, not at the wheels, which is dramatically different. When they talk about MPG, they are talking about MPG if you drive under the same conditions in which the vehicle was tested, which is extremely unlikely in any case. Therefore, you can complain all you want, but in agreeing to the purchase of the lease, you agreed to the terms set forth by the contract, which if you really looked at it, will say MPG is not a garauteed number in every vehicle. You have to pay attention to the advertising you are looking at. (Vehicle shown has X options, price as shown is X) In software, as I said before, you are not buying a product, you are purchasing a license to use the software. If you are in any way disatisfied with the software, you can chose not to use the software anymore, but you are not entitled to anything beyond what you agreed to in the first place. In this case, you agreed to paying for access to what Activision published on 9/9/2014, and that is it. Have you measured in any way the size of the maps available right now, with the entirity of Halo: Reach? What unit of measure have you used to find that Destiny is smaller in every zone? Does calling for peoples heads, and demanding free content really make any sense at this point? No, it doesn't, that is the bottom line. Bungie has pledged continued support for this game for years to come, if you aren't willing to wait, nobody is forcing you. But, again, nobody owes you anything. Period.
