The self entitlement of gamers these days is unreal.
BUNGIE MADE HALO SO THEY HAVE TO MAKE DESTINY WAY BETTER AND IF NOT IM GOING TO RAGE AND CRY MY HEART OUT BECAUSE A VIDEO GAME DOESNT BRING ME ENDLESS HAPPINESS.
Get real. I love games, have for years. Xbox live is how me and my friends connected and became better friends in person. Eventually we evolved from xbox to real life shit and we grew up. But ive had friends and girlfriends with siblings who I see similarly devoting weekend after weekend to gaming. Except, they arent growing up.
Its quite disgusting, the time and sheer will of life some people are putting into gaming these days. Ive dedicated a crap ton of time to it so far, and ive loved and hated it. But This new community of gamers is frightening to me. Its a virtual game guys. Sure, it offers social integration to a degree and can help but come on.
Its a game guys. Game. Not a job, career, school, or anything relatively important. Enjoy life, dont let a GAME ruin it. Its saddening to me, honestly, that this post exist even. Who cares? If it irks you, trade the game in and accept your mistake of buying a game from this "fraudulent" company without delving into the details more.
Coming here and spewing your self entitled bull because you all cant believe you made a mistake in LIFE is crazy. It makes me want to move to a different country, no, planet, in fear of these people one day leading nations and making decisions for me.

Back in the day, games didn't come with day one DLC or day one patch. The internet has changed to where half finished games can be released and fixed later. Games I grew up with on playstation 1-2 had to be perfect on release or they wouldn't sell or score well. I miss that.

Its not just a game though is it, it was our money and now its a game. Ive been playing games since pong so know that im not some little kid with a grudge against the system. I respect money and hard work. So when i feel ripped off i take it to heart. If you dont value your money or the time and work you did to earn it you probably dont care about paying for cut content. Others do and i think they are the majority who understand why we should speak up. Self entitlement... The little people need to show more of it, its the people who have too much that need to show less of it (Bungie).

I appreciate your outlook on it. Im only 19, and games have provided a stepping stone for my life in a huge way. Ive made a friend for life who has for the past 4 years traveled cross country to spend time with me and my group of friends. Games are important to me, as is money. Ive worked a harder job than most my age and made a lot more money than most my age. I have bills and I am in college, which teaches you everything you need to know about valuing money. But I cant consent on buying a game, 2 weeks into launch, and complaining that its a rip off. You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it, getting all the facts, past records, etc. Would you? The people raging arent fully responsible, but are to a large degree. They didnt wait a solid amount of time for a video game to see how people liked it. They didnt rent it first and test drive it. I cant help but laugh a little when you all complain about it so early in its life. The game has its let downs and frustrations I will admit. But I enjoy it a lot and will for a long time. Some games aren't for everyone.

It's not self entitlement of your paying for it... You are not looking at thee big picture though dude. Publishers are setting lower standards on the developers which in turn screws us over because in the end all they want is our money. They could just as easily have added thee content which definitely should have been in it. When I buy a game I expect a full game. This is by no means the full game they intended. Ever heard of the cave theory? Well you sir are certainly in that cave and I suggest you get out.

If you expect a full game out of an MMO you should really look into what an MMO is all about. Its purpose is to be continually developed and worked on overtime, adding and removing content periodically to change the game.

Mkay cave boy.... Thing is...... They could have at least made the retail version of the game a decent game. The game was not worth $60 bucks when compared to the three year old skyrim. Skyrim had had dlc. You don't see bethesda releasing hardly even half of their game like destiny... Another thing you don't realize is bungie was more than likely "forced" to take out this content. So... If your okay with the fact that they took out content which was originally intended for the full game release then you truly are living in the cave and should truly consider getting out !

I dont live in a cave. I live in a dorm room in a small town where I go to class daily and in my spare time enjoy the destiny I payed $60 for. Your entitled to your own view of the game, if you dont like it im not going to try to convince you otherwise. That wasn't my purpose. Rage all you want and let this video game fuel the fire of angst in you because it didnt live up to your expectations. I could care less my dude. Sometimes life shits on you and some people see it that way and others dont.

There should be a fine line between what should be included in the retail game and what's added later for purchase.. I certainly feel that line was crossed and part of the retail game hopped its happy little butt to the wrong side of that line.

Na I honestly am one of the few people that expected destiny to suck. And I don't mean it would live up to expectations I knew it would suck. After playing the alpha then beta I knew it would. When the game finally came out I was like whatever about it and the only reason I got it was because a lot of my friends were getting it. It actually wasn't a bad game... At first... Then when I finally decided the game wasn't bad that was the peak. I had realized destiny was hardly a full game. It has soooooop much potential and if bungie would have added some common things people are talking about then I guarantee tons more would absolutely love the gam and reviews would change but nope.... It will never live up to its potential at this rate.... Btw living in a cave is metaphorical for allegory of the cave. Look it up and you'll understand what I mean your living in a cave.

Of course. Most games could. I was quite angered but the fact there's only 4 planets. But I still play with my friends and find my time enjoying the game outweighs my time loathing it.

It's a product that we spent $60 (more in other places, $70 for us canadians) on that turned out to be a complete 180 from what they advertised. Now we find out they are trying to steal more of our money, for half assed content in a game with half assed systems. Just because you are willing to throw your money away and endorse companies that waste our time and money doesn't mean we are wrong.

You arent wrong, but youre not entitled. You made the decision to buy the game, widely advertised as an MMO, 2 weeks after launch. You made the decision to spend that money of YOURS on a game that is going to be developed OVER 10 YEARS. They advertised what they gave us. You took what they advertised and made your own assumptions, but in reality they didnt false advertise anything. Ive followed it since January and I do not feel cheated one bit.

Pretty much everything they said you would and can do in the game is not in it. It's a bare-bones loot shooter with rpg elements tacked on. Try looking at destiny info before this year, and look at what bungie was telling us. Hell, NONE of the gameplay content they sold us on is even in the game.

They never said wed be able to raid on launch from my knowledge. They never gave time frames on things we would be able to do.

Exactly. Also playing alpha and beta should have given people a huge clue about how the game is. But alas people seem to create a different game in their head
