Don't dismantle your Stranger Rifle.
With Bungie you never know if it's actually a key to a Easter egg.
The Stranger hands it to you. This could be Bungie's way of saying this is important for other things.

Same with khostov, there used to be an exotic version of it in the planning stages.

I dismantled all of mine because it's no good, however, it's quite simple to stash my gear and run another character through from the start, only takes a few hours. If I need one I can get one.
