Don't dismantle your Stranger Rifle.
With Bungie you never know if it's actually a key to a Easter egg.
The Stranger hands it to you. This could be Bungie's way of saying this is important for other things.

I still use it in crucible. It's a great gun :) always thought its an oddity that needs to be kept for some yet unknown reason.

Actually, many people keep their Stranger's Rifle because it wrecks face in normal Crucible.

I feel like the fact that the strangers rifle looks EXACTLY like the fate of all fools is some thing that is widley over looked and dismissed in the destiny community. I wouldnt be surprised if it was involved in an eventual exotic bounty for it

I just kept it because you only get once chance at it (other than making other characters) so I kept one and use it on patrols.
