Don't dismantle your Stranger Rifle.
With Bungie you never know if it's actually a key to a Easter egg.
The Stranger hands it to you. This could be Bungie's way of saying this is important for other things.

It's good when leveling new characters (for four level) and actually pretty great in crucible

1 ReplyThe stranger rifle is not important. If it was important, then you could not get it every time you complete the story on a new character

Always keep the one for new characters, having it at level 16 is nice.

3 RepliesI kept it for legacy reasons, I always keep powerful / important things that I no longer need, but can no longer obtain as a memory for "I was there."

I deleted all mine, even if it is a important you could just make a new character and get it again?

1 ReplyThank god I kept mine but I seriously thought about dismantling it. At first I all '-blam!- Yeah! First Rare Weapon', then I saw it was a pulse rifle and I was no longer do enthusiastic. I swear to god, if I had a better weapon in my inventory it would have been scrap mettle.

6 RepliesI've kept both the strangers rifle and the first rifle, as well as all the gear your ghost created at the beginning if the game for each class... My vault is damn near full, but you never know if they might do some cool shit with them later.
