I and many, many other players know that destiny could have alot more to do in it to keep it interesting. So, I have some suggestions that you should really consider adding to your game. It doesn't have to be all at once but if you could add these in future updates, that would be amazing and would make the game 10 times better.
NEW ACTIVITES/NEW PLACES
First off, there should be more to do in the open world areas, maybe some hidden outposts with groups NPC's to interact with who would give you missions and rewards and little bits of the story information that would normally only be told through the grimoire cards. Having places and people like that would add a more full feeling to each of the planets. What if in these new areas and on the tower there were challenges that didn't involve killing aliens such as knife throwing, skeet shooting, brawling, puzzles, board games/gambling, where you could win glimmer or resource prizes, that would be really cool. Also more actvities like sparrow racing, and other non-combat activites that would be equally rewarding and fun as the rest of the game. More expansion to the tower, maybe player houses or ship interiors that you could decorate with items, artifacts and other treasures the player would find on their travels. Non-vendor NPC's should be interactable each with their own thing to say. Houses would give the players a unique location that they could call their own.
PLAYER HOUSES/SHIP INTERIORS
If their could be multiple houses to choose from each with their own location and backstory.Have multiple houses each with their own location and you can buy them with glimmer after you unlock them by doing a mission or a favor for the NPC selling it. Then when you have the house, you should be able to upgrade it and expand it by finding and looting blue prints. Also, have your own personal NPC's like a personal bounty giver or personal vault or postmaster at your house. Make sure you could put up rare items or alien heads on display around your house so that when your fire team comes to visit they can see all the amazing things you have done. Make sure there are a few houses to choose from, at least 5 maybe all different places in the tower/city, a cool one would be a house up in the mountains overlooking twighlight gap, the tower and the city. It would be snowy. Or a house right in the heart of the city in a 3rd story building overlooking the streets with the traveler directly overhead.
COMMUNICATION/SOCIAL
Proximity chat with players in the tower would be great also, if you could send messages and items to players through the postmaster that would be cool too. Just more ways of communicatiing and socializing with players. Also, a way of organizing fireteams for easily definitley needs to be implemented. Maybe a location in the tower or fire team finder in the menu would make getting into raids and the weekly challenges much more accesible to players who don't know anyone esle who plays the game.
NAMES/AUCTION HOUSE/OTHER RPG ASPECTS
Also, once the economy is figured out, a player trading system similar to world of warcraft's auction house would be a very awesome addition to the game. Also, increase the glimmer cap if possible. To make the game feel a little more like an RPG maybe you could add a player naming system so that each character would be fully unique to them, and it would be optional if players wanted to be recognized by their gamertag. Also, add more customization options when you make your character. Shader previews. Self-explanatory. Please add them.
VEHICLES/GAMEMODES
More vehicles please, maybe just one every update or two, but new vehicles would be really cool. Maybe even customizable sparrows; you would find parts and add them to make a more efficient and unique sparrow. Also, maybe have your emblem visible on your spaceship. A cool crucible gamemode idea would be something like capture the flag, except it would be capture the sword where you would grab the giant sword (sword of crota) and get points while you hold it, the winner would be the one who held it the longest. Just something you should consider.
PLEASE put these into the game at one point or another, even if they are part of a DLC PLEASE PUT THEM IN as well as something similar for your spaceship (an interior) that would make buying a ship more worth it. PLEASE READ THIS and let me know if you will consider these ideas. They don't have to be implemented right away just please let me know if you will put them in the game sometime in the near future. It would make the game 10 times better and I think most players would agree.

I'm gunna stray away from the whole loot discussion. It's been beaten to death in every which way bungie knows its not perfect and we should see an improvement soon I have faith. But I am gunna offer up an idea that I hope everyone in a clan can agree on. We don't have much to do by way of clan activities. Other than a few achievements that are based on being in a clan. I wanna see a competitive pvp/PVE dlc or patch update whatever you will. I'm thinking it be called clan turf wars. Every clan starts out with a clan base (you can choose from 6 models of bases) these bases have your own personalized vendors which you can by like spinmetal relic iron so on and so for for an increased price. A clan vault(only unused items can go in there and you can donate glimmer to the clan to help buy upgrades) a clan bounty board for weeklys and dailies picked out by the clan leader to earn experience for the clan to help earn new upgrades. Now every clan starts with say 5 territory plots that also add experience to the clan. Other clans can issue a "turf war" invitation to adjoining clan territory. If the invited clan does not respond to this invite within 48 hrs the territory is forfeited. Clans can only issue 2 a day. And some territories will be worth more than others. Depending on region you will get to play in different variations of the maps(forested areas with have trees with small bases in them desert areas will be wide an open easily defendable etc). It's balanced cause the bigger clans who have more players will have to be defending their territories more often. Now for the PVE portion of the game style you can get warnings saying a large fallen army is converging on your territory you have (depending on how big it is is how long you have to assemble) 45 minutes to assembled and defend. If you lose in this you forfeit your land but you have the opportunity to take it but so do other clans that are watching they can go and do battle to get your territory. So all in all all this clan experience with encourage clans to be very active.
