Same problem here. Logged in on Friday morning (PST) and installed the update. Played a couple hours and got a rare ship and a couple of bounties turned in. I then got kicked from patrolling Venus all the way to the sign-in screen. When I logged back in I was missing the rare ship and the bounties had gone back to my inventory, complete but not turned in. After that I played 'til about 5pm (PST) and logged out normally. I can't log in again since 8pm last night due to the centipede error after the "PRESS X TO START" text on my PS4. Would be great if we could get some feedback on the status of this issue. I know for a fact that it is not my internet connection. I would appreciate if Bungie would look into this :)
