Yesteryday's network Issues has caused bugged accounts

I've been on the forums reading about others suffering issues with their accounts since the network hiccup yesterday afternoon/evening (EST) and have come to the conclusion (as others have) that we all suffered some sort of item bug due to a rollback. During the rollback'd period, we had made changes to items (identifying them, depositing them, etc) and this is the cause of our issue. I'm making this post because everyone's issues are being continuously buried under rants and other posts and I have yet to see this issue catching any Bungie employee's attention. If you believe you are experiencing this issue or have any other information that might help further narrow down the cause of this bug please do so. Our centipede errors are not a network issue and WILL NOT sort themselves out on their own or through changes in our network. I've also included below some symptoms for those unsure if they are affected by this issue. Symptoms: - Experienced a rollback yesterday returning items to prior states (from identified to encrypted, back in inventory from vault) - Get Centipede errors when trying to connect after late afternoon (EST) yesterday - Your Bnet Destiny profile is failing to load while logged into your account (and sometimes when not) - Other accounts work on your console/network Please help bring this to Bungie's attention and get us an official response of acknowledgement. EDIT: My experience. In the events leading up to and following yesterday's hiccup I started out in cosmodrome and returned to the tower. In the tower I grabbed my public event reward from the post master and proceeded to deposit three ascendant shard I was awarded into my vault. I may have also turned in a bounty and replaced or with a new one, but i cannot confirm this with full confidence. Afterwards I returned to the cosmodrome (patrol) and continued doing bounties and patrol missions. I was kicked back shortly afterwards and was returned to orbit. I noticed my character had lost the experience gained during the patrol causing me to return to level 7. I loaded up patrol again and leveled myself to 8. After finishing my patrol bounty I began the first mission to kill raksis(or something like that) and was continually kicked to orbit with varying errors including centipede and monkey mostly. After a few failed attempts I decided to log out. Upon trying to reconnect I continually got centipede errors. I decided there may be some network issues and turned my console off. I tried again this morning and the problem persisted and that's when I began my own investigation.

    I experienced the centipede error yesterday for the first time, experienced it for an hour or so. Yesterday evening I was finally able to get on and play without a problem. Earlier today I didn't experience any issues, ran some patrols and lucked into a couple rare ship engrams from chests on Venus. Played a couple strikes, and signed off for supper. Just logged back on, and noticed that all my progress from yesterday evening and today is gone: faction exp, items, glimmer, quests I had previously turned in. Everything from yesterday evening to now is gone. XBox 360 gamertag is Visskar

    I saw that my Bungie profile finally could be loaded on the web so I tried to log into the game and it still errord out before character selection. Now my Bungie profile fails to load again :( XBL: BK 124

    • I'm experiencing the same exact bug, I even traveled 3 hours from home with my PS4 today and I'm still getting the "centipede" error code. This is definitely due to my account being bugged, other PSN accounts on my system are able to play still.

        My character just loaded up on the app for bungie. Will try to log in on ps4 now Edit: able to log into my character on ps4 finally and able to go to tower with no issues so far

          Gamertag: Deliverator77 Console: XB1 Update Oct 1: centipede before character selection remains after patch Update Sept 29: I've checked back several times over the weekend and I've been getting centipede before character selection since midnight EST Friday. Original Post Sept 27: I I've lost my progress since yesterday. Items I removed from my vault have returned, loot I received since yesterday is gone and the exotic I bought from Xur today is gone. Can someone restore my progress?

        • I'm having significant problems as well... though I'm not sure what monkey, centipede or wasp mean. Haven't seen anything that gives it a name... the error just tells me my account is hosed.

          • Try creating another guardian thats what i did and i can play just fine no issues.But if i try to use my main guardian i get the centipede error so its def not connection its got to be the server realated just hope bungie addresses this prob soon

            • Yesterday I got the Queens Wrath legendary helmet in a drop during one of the hard earned quests, when I logged on this morning it was gone and I still had the four queens wrath quests I started with yesterday, you can imagine my disappointment. Please fix this issue, it is ruining the game.

              This is happening to me too. I played last night for hours. Did three queens missions and various tasks. Logged out as normal and went to play today after work and everything I did yesterday didn't save. I checked my friends who played with me and all theirs saved. I play fine today after that bullcrap till two hours in, then I'm cursed even more with this centipede.... Two days of playing. This is a serious problem. If the character that I already put over a full day into has to be reset then my need to play this game will be reset.... I'm just not sure if I can or want to come back from that. Please save our guardians!

            • Okay, yeah after 4 hours of this and finally reading this post it's clear to me now that you're right. My experience is that I found a legendary engram then cashed it in and got 2 strange coins (very happy about that) then got booted shortly after and could play again but I had the engram again and no coins -.- lol I got booted a few more times before it let me back in the tower to exchange the engram once more and I got a wrong class legendary item ( ughhhhh) and then got booted once more came back but it stayed as a item and not an engram and then didn't get booted till today after HotFix... I hope they fix this soon cause I wanna see if I can get anything for my strange coins lol!!

              • So I saw that my bud Juggalostazz80 lost most of his gear and I took pictures of his gear on my phone as well as mine just to be safe if it rolls me back for any reason but this sucks that people got rolled back that hard and loss of gear.

              • I have the same issue. I was playing with some friends around 4pm (central time) and we were being disconnected, but after a fer attempts I was able to log back in. A bit after logging in I noticed that some engrams that i brought to the cryptarch reverted back to engrams. I guess it was a rollback from the disconnect, but after using my engrams again and turning in some bounties I logged out. About an hour later I came back to play some more and I got centipede error, and after troubleshooting constantly for hours and doing all of the things on bungie's help page I gave up (maybe bugged items because of rollback). I decided that the problem was on bungie's side and that I would let them work it out. It has been over 24 hours and I understand that a lot of people have the same issues but damn i wanna play since there is an event going on and it is frustrating to see that some of my friends are able to log in but i cant get past the start screen. Being unable to even get to character selection i ask to please fix my account.

              • I was able to play just fine until around 4 pm CT yesterday, and now I can't even get past signing in without a Centipede error. I bought the PS4 Destiny bundle just to play this game, and I am the only one out of three people in my apartment who can't log in. #Bungie #help.

                • I have an issue with vanguard marks. My inventory says I only have 41. The weekly counter says I have earned 71. I started this week with 35 marks after spending 65 of the 100 I had for last week on Legendary arms. So the math is wrong. according to my inventory I have only earned 6 marks? where are the rest of my marks? just did a strike last night after seeing this. earned 3 marks but the never showed up in my inventory. And went from 68 marks for the week to 71. I need my marks to get my legendary boots. Is there a fix for this or did I just get screwed out of marks?
