Quit counting on RNG drops and get your Vanguard, Crucible, or faction reputation up and buy your legendaries. Good grief.

That's how I've gotten most of my gear except for some of the weapons. I've bought it all from the Vanguard and Xur. I did get really lucky on the exotic chest engram I bought from Xur though, as it gave me exactly what I wanted.

It's the way you're meant to get gear. I bought the titan helm from Xür and picked up the engram and ended up getting an exotic chest piece for a warlock. Between farming for marks and earning rep there's no reason why anyone shouldn't be able to have full legendary and at least 1 exotic.

the problem is you need 4 spots for the body and 3 for weapons, factoring in 1 exotic each allowed and the rest legendaries plus the fact that you can't do certain things without better gear PLUS the cap on crucible and vanguard points and it drags it out even further....that's one loooong and repetatively boring haul.

Its not suppos to be quick the first add-on doesn't release till December you have till then to get to lvl 30. Also destiny is a game that most will play for a few hours and then go do something else

actually, i'm level 3 with dead orbit, got legendary from xur, dead orbit allowed me 2 legendaries AND gave me a free legendary weapon upon reaching level 3, my vanguard in the meantime allowed me a helm. i only had to find one exotic (though i have 2 bounties atm). i'm all legendary/exotics now. really didn't take too long

oh and all the random loot has given me a full legendary set less some weapons + 1 exotic armor. i could have another above level 20 whenever i'm ready
